Why a PLN or Personal Learning Network is an Effective tool for Learners and instructors

Being relatively new to the PLN community or the Personal Learning Network, the insight I offer is purely exploratory. I have barely dabbled in such a community source, but I have already found some intriguing insights that were slightly surprising. As an avid fantasy reader I have never given much thought to the world building that goes into the story that I have delved into. My mind is much to occupied with the descriptions of scenery and magic, and the awe in which the world exists. However, once I started exploring the Nerdy Book Club community I gained some background

This background was unleashed from the writer of Rise of the Dragon Moon, Gabrielle Byrne. She goes in depth on how much of the world building process is done from observation and that imagination is built upon that. She discusses that Eco systems and actual habitual environments are used to help build a truly authentic world. Even fantastical creatures need a food source, adaptation, mating, and a relationship with prey or predator.

These several exploratory moments I spent searching through a bit of one PLN revealed an incredibly relevant aspect of the books I enjoy. Who knows what else can be gained from the Countless other PLN’s offering incredibly insightful points and information for us as English Learners to use.

So in hindsight, what can these communities do for you? They will offer undoubtedly useful and interesting information that is available for you to use as a learner as well as an instructor. Increasing the ease in which you navigate the infrastructure of English Learning.

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.
